Our Advisory Board
LOCALISED established an Advisory Board which is an independent and experienced group of individuals delivering advice and assistance to facilitate the achievement of the overall vision of the project. The Advisory Board provides innovative knowledge, critical thinking and feedbacks to ensure focus on the objectives and the proceedings of the project.
The Advisory Board is composed of four members with different expertise in the field of sustainable businesses, energy modelling and transition, regional climate change adaptation, and citizen participation.
Laurens De Vries
Delft University of Technology
Professor
Prof. dr. ir. Laurens de Vries (TU Delft, Faculty of TPM) is an expert on energy sector market design and regulation and on energy systems integration. He is Full Professor of Complex Energy Transitions and the coordinator of the Energy Systems Integration Program of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA). He is currently involved in a range of projects on topics like electricity market design for an all-renewable system (TradeRES, H2020) and modeling and designing markets for new forms of flexibility (DEMOSES, Dutch Science Foundation). Prof. De Vries obtained his degree in mechanical engineering from TU Delft. He obtained a second Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies, with a focus on environmental economics from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington State, USA. In 2004, he received his doctorate degree from TU Delft on the topic of electricity generation adequacy.

Livia Marcantonio

Project Manager
I have been working as Project Manager at EBN since October 2020, where I am also responsible for the new bids and proposals. With more than 7 years of experience in EU projects management, I am in charge of the identification of the calls of interest for the EBN members and secretariat, and I coordinate the activities for the preparation of the proposals of the secretariat. In addition, I animate the Eco-Innovation Special Interest Group (SIG) and manage H2020, Horizon Europe and Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs projects.

Susanne Hanger-Kopp
International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA)
Research Scholar
Susanne Hanger-Kopp is part of the Equity and Justice (EQU) Research Group at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). She has 15 years of research and teaching experience in the areas of climate change adaptation and disaster risk management, and has in parallel worked also on the energy transition. Her analytical focus lies on governance and institutional development, but she also has experience with behavioral approaches. Most importantly, Dr. Hanger-Kopp considers herself a knowledge integrator, designing and facilitating inter- and transdisciplinary research projects. For this purpose, she is invested in developing and promoting qualitative systems mapping as an indispensable tool to support systems thinking across disciplines, sectors, and subject matters.

Vasileios Latinos
ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability
Coordinator, Urban Resilience and Climate Adaptation
Vasileios is a climate adaptation and resilience expert, with 13+ years experience, working with local and regional governments throughout Europe. He is coordinating the resilience portfolio of ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability for Europe, responsible for development, management and coordination of projects and services in the topical areas of climate change adaptation, urban resilience and disaster risk reduction and supporting the programmatic development of ICLEI in this field. Vasileios is also involved in standardization activities and manages the European Urban Resilience Forum since 2016.
